April 26, 2001 Ushche, see if Naliniedathi will give me a regular page called "frogs", it may have facts, cartoons, jokes, stories... if so, here is my first installment below. I'll also put together a small page on them, pics and all, and post it to you? I have the scanner and DTP software now, so can compose the whole thing. I can even do your entire DTP if you mail me the items. See what she says, please. I'd need to be paid of course!!! But I can even do proof-reading which the local people couldn't be trusted to do, huh? I'd like payment made to SEED Trust, tell her she'll be helping to keep a very worthy organization afloat, while simultaneously getting her work done very professionally! P. ------------------ FROGS A group of frogs were traveling through the woods, and two of them fell into a deep pit. All the other frogs gathered around. When they saw how deep the pit was, they told the unfortunate frogs they would never get out. The two frogs ignored the comments and kept trying to jump out. The other frogs all shouted to them to stop, that they were as good as dead. Finally, one of the frogs took heed to what the other frogs were saying and he simply gave up. He fell down and died. The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again, the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and suffering and just accept that he must die. He jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the other frogs asked him, "Why did you continue jumping? Didn't you hear us?" The frog explained to them that he was deaf. He thought they were cheering for him and encouraging him the entire time! There is power of life and death in words. An encouraging word to someone who is down can lift them up and help them make the effort to stand up to their troubles. A destructive word to someone who is down can be what it takes to destroy the last vestige of hope that remains in them. Be careful of what you say. Speak life to those who cross your path. |
